What we're looking for through the second half of the year
Graham Greene mentioned. Knew I should have held onto my copy of The Human Factor.
interested in the Bukowski review, I’ll look to submit! I’m working on a piece about the documentary You Never Had It: An Evening With Bukowski
Bookmark comment.
So is it fair to say yall would prefer a rough draft of a piece rather than a pitch submission? I’m just making I understand the instructions clearly.
Ideal is rough draft, yes, though sending a pitch over to start is fine too if you want our feedback before writing
is there a dead line for submissions
To be considered for the fall print issue the date is 8/15; for the winter print issue it’s 11/15; for online it’s rolling. ASAP is always best as we respond in the order we get them.
@Logan the Lobotomizer
Will Non Grata ever look for poetry submissions in the future?
Will update the post; we are always accepting poetry submissions, please do send
How many poems can be submitted at once?
No hard limits, use best judgement
Hi! Question: do you accept submissions that have been previously published solely on one’s own personal Substack?
Would you guys be interested in film reviews?
Yes
Hey, I sent you an article about Maugham. I use multiple emails for various purposes. But it's me, please check it out.
What sort of short stories do you all take? Looking to make a story sale before the end of the year.
This is a great and exciting cfs! How much do you pay per piece or word? That’s the only info I couldn’t see and that is missing
There’s no set rate - it depends on how much money we have at the time, if it’s print vs. online, etc. etc.
Ok, here I come again =)
How long does it take to get a reply after submission?
Should be drank in a dimly-lit swanky hotel bar in nyc
